Delaware County man jailed in Williamsport on felony drug charges
Andrew McCutchen, 36, of Darby, has been brought back here to face two felony counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and possession of an instrument of crime as a result of drugs and a loaded firearm being found in his backpack that detectives seized when he was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Services in a home in the 1000 block of High St. in Williamsport last July 9, according to court records filed by Lycoming County’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit.
Found hiding in the attic inside the house, McCutchen, then a fugitive, was wanted by law enforcement in Lower Merion Township in Montgomery County, just outside Philadelphia, on a charge of attempted homicide.
No information was available this week on the disposition of that case. Detectives discovered ecstasy, crack cocaine, fentanyl and marijuana in the backpack, it was stated in an affidavit. McCutchen has waived his preliminary hearing before District Judge Aaron Biichle and remains jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail.
