Linden area man jailed for allegedly assaulting former girlfriend
Mark Allen Bird, 53, of 463 Spook Hollow Road, Linden, faces charges of terroristic threats, possession of offensive weapon and simple assault after he attacked a former girlfriend in the 1900 block of East Third Street in Loyalsock Township on July 2, state police said. “I’m going to (expletive) you up,” he told the woman, who attempted to use a taser gun on him, police alleged in an affidavit. Bird then forcibly grabbed the taser gun in her hand and smacked it on the right side of her head while she was still holding it, police were told. He then allegedly struck her in the face with the other hand, police said. Bird disarmed the woman, threw the taser gun at her and fled. Arraigned recently before District Judge Denise Dieter, Bird remains jailed in lieu of $35,000 bail.
