Philadelphia man jailed on felony firearm offenses

Wearing all black and a mask, Adrian-Michael Harry was walking in the 600 block of Fourth Avenue about 12:20 a.m. on Aug. 2 when a city police officer in uniform approached him, according to an affidavit. The 36-year-old Philadelphia man suddenly took off running, but was apprehended within minutes in the 800 block of Park Avenue. As he was being detained in handcuffs, Harry told the officer he was armed with a handgun, which was removed from his pocket without incident, it was stated in the court document. The officer knew Harry and was aware that he is a convicted felon. Following his arraignment before District Judge Denise Dieter on felony charges of convicted felon not to possess a firearm and carrying a firearm without a license plus a misdemeanor charge of evading arrest, Harry, who is a convicted drug dealer and carried a local address of the 900 block of High Street, was jailed in lieu of $150,000 bail.
