Man charged following domestic disturbance
James R. Macon, 39, has been charged with defiant trespass and disorderly conduct after causing disturbances in the 1600 block of Andrews Place, resulting in three separate police visits within the span of less than two hours on Oct. 15, 2025, city police said in court filings.
Initially called to the residence shortly before 7 p.m., police allegedly found Macon on the front porch of the house with the smell of alcohol on his breath.
“An alleged victim told police that Macon had shown up unannounced three days prior, adding that she was scared of Macon and wanted him to leave the family alone for the night, an affidavit said.
While speaking with the alleged victim, Macon left the property, however police were again called to the residence approximately one hour later, where they told him to gather his belongings and informed him that he was not welcome on the premises.
Removed from the residence by officers once he began screaming at the alleged victim, Macon turned his attention to police, who told him to keep his voice down, and refused to take his belongings, allegedly stating that he had no place to go, according to court documents.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m., Macon allegedly returned to the residence and began banging on the front door and yelling at the alleged victim. The yelling could be heard from a block away by responding officers, who also witnessed Macon on the front porch of the residence, police said in an affidavit.
Arraigned by District Judge Gary Whiteman, Macon was released on $5,000 bail.
