Nine people have been charged with various drug offenses, according to court records that were recently made public. Those charged were:

Thomas Eugene Pittman, 43, of 1146 W. Fourth St.; the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit (NEU); delivery of $100 worth of cocaine to an informant, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, tampering with physical evidence, resisting arrest and possession of cocaine following his alleged involvement in the sale on Feb. 25, 2026; when detectives executed a search warrant at his home, Pittman allegedly flushed marijuana down the toilet and struggled with officers to the point that one of them had to deploy a taser gun in order to take him into custody; jailed in lieu of $100,000.

Akilah Regina Edwards, 42, of 423 Eighth Ave., South Williamsport; the county’s District Attorney’s Office; delivery of cocaine and illegal use of cellphone for his alleged involvement in a drug sale at Grier Street and Park Avenue in the city on Dec. 15; initially jailed now free on $50,000 bail.

Keshawn Rasheed Martin, 20, of Bloomsburg; the county’s District Attorney’s Office; delivery of $320 worth of cocaine following his alleged involvement in the drug sale on Cottage Street in Hughesville on Nov. 20, 2025; initially jailed, but now free on $35,000 bail.

Alexandra Renee Reese, 33, of 83 Second Ave., Clarkstown; state police; delivery of 20 bags of fentanyl to an informant and illegal use of a communication device on Muncy Creek Boulevard in Muncy Creek Township on Nov 6; initially jailed, but now free on $35,000 bail.

Matthew Shane Prentiss, 40, 2200 Warrensville Road; city police; possession of 138 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at Park Avenue and Green Street on Oct. 7; released on $5,000 bail.

Robert Duffey, 54, of 510 Grandview Place; Montoursville police; possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia in the first block of North Montour Street in the borough on Nov. 10; released on $5,000 bail.

Scott Nicholas Ulsamer, 45, of 365 Woodland Ave.; city police; possession with intent to deliver marijuana (cannabis seeds) and possession of drug paraphernalia in the 1200 block of Vine Avenue on Sept. 21; released on $15,000 bail; he was arrested in 2024 by the county’s NEW for his involvement in two cocaine sales that took place in the city in August of that year.

Spencer Charles Whitehill, 35, of 4150 Bloomingrove Road; state police; possession of methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana as well as possession of drug paraphernalia in the 1600 block of Warren Avenue in Loyalsock Township on June 21; released on $5,000 bail.

Motorist William Joseph Schmitt, 42, of Scranton; state police; possession with intent to deliver 45 bags of heroin that he threw out of his Honda CRV during a slow-speed pursuit with a state trooper along Interstate 180 in Muncy Creek Township on Dec. 9, 2024; court records state he was impaired when was stopped; also charged with possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, felony fleeing police and DUI; he is free on $35,000 bail.
