Lewisburg Children’s Museum launches Hands in Clay workshop series with artist Ellen Jamiolkowski

LEWISBURG — The Lewisburg Children’s Museum will host Ellen Jamiolkowski as an artist-in-residence in partnership with the Perry County Council of the Arts for a series of workshops called Hands in Clay. Workshops for elementary-age children are available on April 13, 20 and 27 from 2 to 4 p.m. with participants returning May 4 to decorate their projects. CU-Lock Haven to host 20th Kent’s Fest Celebration

LOCK HAVEN — Commonwealth University-Lock Haven’s Department of Exceptionality Programs and Council for Exceptional Children student group will host the 20th annual Kent’s Fest celebration on Friday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the East Campus Gymnasium. Secretary of Education’s visit to IU 17 highlights certification pathway

During his recent tour of schools in the area, Dr. Khalid Mumin, secretary of education, visited the BLaST IU 17 headquarters on Reach Road to learn more about the “earn while you learn” teacher certification pathways for working paraeducators.
