Court: Former Loyalsock student to get $2.8 million for abuse by coach

A woman who sued Loyalsock Township School District because of sexual abuse by a former middle school basketball coach will receive almost $3 million. A jury in U.S. Middle District Court after a civil trial found that the district was liable for the harm caused by Kelli Vassallo, the former coach, after the woman sued the district in 2021.
