The identity of the driver killed in a Thursday evening crash near Route 44 and Morgan Valley Road in Nippenose Township has been released by Lycoming County Coroner Charles Kiessling Jr. 19-year-old Lucas Smithgall, of Pearson Road, Jersey Shore, was killed when he lost control of his vehicle as he traveled south on Route 44, and crossed into the path of a truck traveling in the northbound lane, the press release said.
