County Planners OK development

The Lycoming County Planning Commission approved a land development plan off Route 220 in Muncy Township during its regular monthly meeting Thursday.

Plans call for building a second home on the 55-acre parcel, according to Joshua Billings, subdivision and land development administrator.

A sewage permit has been issued for the site located in the countryside zoning district, he said.

Billings said a driveway will go to the home.

The plan has already been approved by the township supervisors.

“We wholeheartedly endorse this,” Tom Schaech, chairman of the township supervisors, told the planning commission.

In other matters, Brandon Ball was introduced to the board as the planning department’s newly hired community economic development planner.

The board was advised to designate a board member to serve as an alternate on the Williamsport Area Transportation Study Technical Committee.

The committee is comprised of people from several local governmental bodies.
