No changes to tax rates in East Lycoming schools’ budget

The East Lycoming School Board recently approved a $32 million proposed budget for 2026-27 that does not include a property tax increase. The proposed budget is in the amount of $32,087,205 and the district is planning to levy taxes at 16.65 mills, the same as the prior year, according to business manager Heather Burke. The district real estate transfer tax will remain at 1 % and earned income tax 1.2 %. HARRISBURG — The head of Pennsylvania’s Treasury Department said her agency does not have the legal authority to pay the more than $1 million in recent security upgrades at Gov. Parking authority plans to sell lot near Via Bella

Williamsport City Council recently passed a resolution authorizing and approving the sale of Lot H by the Williamsport Parking Authority. “This is a parcel that the city had deeded to the authority in 2017,” said city Solicitor Austin White. As a deed restriction, it required that if the authority wanted to sell the parcel, it needed to get the city’s consent. The lot is accessed by Mulberry Street and is close to Via Bella.
