Scott Witmer
Scott Witmer, 56, went to be with his Savior on Jan. 21, 2021. He was the son of William A. and Phyllis Witmer born Dec. 2, 1964. Scott loved laughter, music and nature and was a big tease, giving nicknames to many, and always ready with a joke. He loved helping people and would do anything for anyone if he could. Scott invited Jesus into his heart as a young boy and at various times in life was very excited to study the Bible. He mentioned with tears that he even told people about Jesus when drinking in bars. Scott struggled in this world, but never again. Romans 8:38-39 “For I have every confidence that nothing…not death, life, heavenly messengers, dark spirits, the present, the future, spiritual powers, height, depth nor any created thing…can come between us and the love of God revealed in the Anointed, Jesus our Lord.”
He is forever with Jesus and waits with God for his parents, William and Phyllis of Williamsport; two sons, Matthew Witmer (Cheyenne Crystal), and Isiah Lehman; a granddaughter, Rileigh Nicole Hoover; his girlfriend, Jennifer Camp; his brother, William Witmer (Patty); sisters, Crystal Eiswerth (Stephen), Karen Terry (Marc) and Kimberly Mayo (Michael); and many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles who all loved him dearly.
A memorial gathering will be held in his honor on Feb. 20, at 11 a.m. at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 911 W. Third St., Williamsport.
