Donald E. Konkle Sr.

Donald E. Konkle Sr., 84, of Montoursville, passed away Dec. 4, 2021 at UPMC Susquehanna Williamsport.

He was born Sept. 30, 1937 in Williamsport, son of the late Edward and Clara B. (Kurtz) Konkle.

Donald retired from the former Schnadig Corporation. He was a member of the Montoursville Presbyterian Church and was an Elder, Pennsdale Fire Department, 50-year member of the Montoursville Fire Company, and Montoursville Historical Society.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, the former Faye R. Rider; sister, Ann Miller; brother, Lester Konkle.

He is survived by three sons, Donald E. Konkle Jr., Scott W. (Lisa) Konkle and Craig D. (Joyce) Konkle, all from Montoursville; sister, Helen Barger of Montoursville; seven grandchildren, Hunter (Emily), Walker (Emily), Janelle, Joshua, Rider, Parker and Remember Konkle; and two great-grandchildren, Ella and Grayson.

There will be a funeral service at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021 at Faith United Methodist Church, 700 Fairview Drive, Montoursville, with Pastor David C. Smith of Montoursville Presbyterian Church officiating. A burial will follow in Montoursville Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either Montoursville Presbyterian Church, 205 Tule Street, Montoursville, or Montoursville Fire Company, 821 Broad St., Montoursville.
