Richard S. Harmon

Richard S. Harmon, 65, of Muncy and formerly of Watsontown, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at The Gatehouse of Divine Providence Hospital surrounded by family.
Born on January 5, 1960, in Lewisburg, he was a son of the late James L. and Edith (Maynard) Harmon.
Richard graduated from Warrior Run High School, and enlisted in the U.S. Army, it was a period of his life that instilled in him a strong sense of duty and pride. He was proud to be an Army Ranger with the 1st Battalion, 16th Infantry. Throughout his life, he worked in many different roles and facilities and was known for his reliability and exceptional work ethic.
Richard’s love for the outdoors was undeniable as he was an avid hunter, camper, fisherman, and animal lover. Throughout his youth, he enjoyed playing soccer and later coaching his children and many more through AYSO. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and was known by many as a storyteller and jokester.
Richard leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for his daughter, Adria M. Eck (Timothy), and his son, Aaron Harmon (Jamie). Richard’s joy was multiplied by the laughter and hugs of his grandchildren, Alexandria, Temperance, Erabella, Ettaline, JT, Aurora, and Autumn. He is also survived by his siblings, James, Ronald, and Mark Harmon, Shirley Breasette, Loretta Moore, and Pauline Johnson; the mother of his children and good friend Michelle Harmon, and his beloved dog, Jack.
A Celebration of Life to honor Richard will be held at a later date.
