Steve Remish Jr.
Steve Remish Jr., 87, of Montgomery, passed away at home on Monday, Aug. 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.
Born April 30, 1938, in North Charleroi, he was a son of the late Steve G. Remish and Anna D. Romenski. He married the former Janet Gould, who predeceased him on May 13, 2025. Together, they celebrated 61 years of marriage. Steve graduated from Ellsworth High School and the former Williamsport Technical Institute, now Penn College, with a degree in heavy equipment repair. He worked in construction most of his life and later retired from L3 Communications.
Steve served honorably in the United States Air Force as an MP and dog handler earning the Good Conduct Medal. He enjoyed bowling, gardening and juicing concoctions. Steve was a Cub Scout Master and a fan of the Steelers, Pirates, Penguins and Penn State.
Above all, his family was the most important part of his life. He loved his kids dearly and reveled in his role as “grandpa” to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are his four children, Duane (Deb) Remish of Effort, Wendy (Dave) Thomas, of Allenwood, Shawn (Patrizia) Remish of Eagleville and Scott Remish of Montgomery; one brother, Andrew Remish of W.V.; and one sister, Joan (David) Reale of Carnegie; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Charlotte Remish and a brother in infancy, David.
Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at Grenoble’s, 121 S. Main St., Muncy, where a Funeral Service will be held at 3 p.m.
