Grace Kiess Pfleegor

Grace Kiess Pfleegor, 99, a lifetime resident of Muncy, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at Juniper Village, State College.

Born February 24, 1926 in Muncy, she was a daughter of the late Clyde G. and Grace M. (Lemon) Kiess. She and her husband, Cordeen C. Pfleegor, Jr. celebrated 44 years of marriage before his death August 6, 1989.

Grace was a graduate of the former Dickinson Seminary, now Lycoming College.

She loved spending her days raising and caring for her family.

She was a member of St. James Episcopal Church, Muncy.

An avid outdoors woman, Grace loved hiking, her pool and a glass of Chardonnay. She also enjoyed cooking, traveling and making flower arrangements.

Surviving are three children, Clyde Pfleegor, of Miami, Fl, Suzie (Dan) Hawbaker and Sarah Jane Pfleegor, all of State College; a sister, Molly (Skip) Young, of State College; and two grandchildren, Roger Pryor, of State College and Meghan Odon, of Pittsburgh.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Cordeen C. “Corky” Pfleegor, III; a brother, Bob Kiess; and two sisters, Joan Schoh, and Cinnie Thompson.

Friends will be received from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025 at St. James Episcopal Church, 215 S. Main St., Muncy, where the funeral will be held at 11 a.m. with her pastor, the Rev. M. Peter Harer, officiating.

Burial will follow in Muncy Cemetery.

The family will provide the flowers and suggests memorial contributions be made to the St. James Episcopal Church, P. O. Box 95, Muncy, PA 17756
