Bonnie and Herb shared a wonderful life together and were looking forward to celebrating 60 years of marriage this coming August. Bonnie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joys were God, her family, friends, and playing the piano. She always enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and concerts, as well as spending time with them on family vacations. Bonnie frequently contacted her grandchildren to encourage them and to let them know that she was thinking of them.
Bonnie’s love of music started early in her life, when she began to play the piano at just five years old. She received her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Music Education from Mansfield State University. She went on to enjoy a career teaching elementary music in the Montoursville Area School District for 20 years, retiring in 2006.
Bonnie was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Montoursville. She served on the church council, was the Director of Music, and enjoyed being the church’s pianist for many years. She was also a member of the Williamsport Christian Women’s Club.
Bonnie also loved to travel, taking the opportunity to explore extensively throughout the U.S. and the world. When at home, she enjoyed attending Montoursville Garden Club, the Susquehannock Antique Automobile Club of America, and the Williamsport Music Club for over 50 years. She frequently went to lunch with her various groups of friends, and enjoyed playing dominoes.
