Daryl Albert Emig, Jr., 90, of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Daryl was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Ann Lewis (1995), his parents Daryl and Mary Emig, his brothers Ronald and his wife Beth, Gerald (Butch) and his wife Debbie, and a sister Dixie Mitchell.
Daryl is survived by his wife, Darlis Watson Emig; his 2 brothers, Larry C. Emig (Barb) and Dennis E. Emig (Jill) and his sister, Jackie L. Schultz (Denny); 2 children, Daryl A. Emig III (Mary) and Gay Emig; 6 grandchildren, Ashley McLaughlin (Jason), Kelly Hummel (Rusty), Nick Vendetti (Brooke), Daryl IV (Aarial), Paige Patel (Vishal) and Ben Emig; 11 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Daryl was a graduate of Williamsport High School. After graduation, he married his first wife, Betty Ann Lewis, who passed away in 1995. Daryl went on to remarry Darlis Watson Emig in 2000 and they spent 25 years together.
Daryl had a lifelong career with the Lane Construction Corporation, where he was the Project Manager in various states until his retirement in 2000. After retirement, Daryl decided to farm his land and enjoyed raising cattle and growing hay in his fields.
Daryl had many hobbies and enjoyed hunting, fishing and skiing with family and friends over the years. He treasured his special time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed gathering with his friends and family.
Daryl was a Mason with the Masonic Lodge, 1746 Main Street, Keeseville, N.Y.
Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, March 9, at McCarty-Thomas Funeral Home, 733 Broad Street Montoursville, with Pastor Ron Savits officiating. Private interment for family only will follow at Montoursville Cemetery. A luncheon to follow at the American Legion Post 104, of Montoursville. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, March 8, at the funeral Home.
The family will provide the flowers and suggest memorial contributions to Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Daryl’s memory.
