You know, I am tired of the right blaming the left and the left blaming the right.

I am sick of this righteousness that one can say hateful things and then be a good person because they believe in Jesus. I am Jewish and that doesn’t make me an evil person. I have friends who are Muslim, that doesn’t make me a terrorist. I have friends who are gay, that doesn’t make me homosexual. I have friends who are Black and Hispanic, that doesn’t make me better than them just because I am White and born here. So, JUST STOP.

If you think because I grew up believing that people should learn to take care of the stranger, the widow and the orphan, then unfriend me and when you find yourself all aline, read your Bible, Old Testament and New Testament, read the Koran and read the words of other belief systems that talk of peace, love and justice. You will find no mention of Democrats or Republicans, no mention of leftists or rightists. Just prayers and hopes about trying to do right over wrong, good over evil, blessings over curses.

As I am about to go into the Jewish high holy day season, I pray that we find the courage to find peace, love and justice for all; the strangers, the widows and the orphans.
