Robber Barons
The long-anticipated addition to the White House has begun, the ballroom. It will be almost twice the size of th e currant White House. The price tag continues to grow, Trump said 230 million dollars now it is 300 million dollars. He originally proposed that he would pay for it now its big money donors along with his money whose names will be emblazon in gold on the walls of the ballroom. He also said he was not going to touch or change the White House it would be separate but close to the White House. The East Wing of the White House is being torn down for the ballroom. I am sure everyone will tell Trump how wonderful it is when finished and praise him for his genius.
This is happening without oversight or proper approval or permits. This is what one gets for putting a man in office with a background in construction and a Republican party too powerless to hold him to account. Republicans the party of ineptness. They let Trump do as he pleases; there are no checks on him from Congress or the Supreme Court.
I recall when Republicans would speak of the yearning for a time when everything was better. It must have been the age of the “Robber Barons” in America. More ballrooms for the wealthy.
