Music in the park

Welcome back to a music extravaganza in Brandon Park! May it be the new beginning of a summer musical and performance series. Some forty years ago I had the opportunity and privilege of scheduling park events throughout the city for the Williamsport Recreation Commission. Transportation study

I was pleased to see that the comprehensive study on transportation included bicycles used for basic transportation. We at Williamsport Bicycle Recycle help many people who use their bicycle for basic transportation. Many of our roads are designed to make cars feel comfortable driving at speeds that endanger cyclists. Last year one of our volunteers was killed when his bicycle was hit by a car on the hill on Market Street. It is surprising that just a short distance away is confusion corner has few crashes. Absolutely right

Dr. Masse’s comments about Loyalsock Township and the undermining of Coach Waller isn’t surprising to me. What’s really bad though is that it’s so bad in Loyalsock that Dr. Masse has to call it out for what it is. Unfortunately he’s absolutely right! Casey Waller is one of the best coaches in Lycoming County if not the best. There are some real egotistical parents who can damper the experience for the whole team and not just the coach. I want to applaud Montoursville Area School District School Board member, Sharon Meyer, on her comments in the Williamsport Sun-Gazette’s Friday, May 15, 2026, edition.
