Waste and fraud

Donald Trump and Elon Musk have been talking a lot about waste and fraud. Well look no further than Trumps golf bag. Back in 2016 while campaigning he was always scolding Obama for playing to much golf. “I’m going to be working for you and I will have no time to play golf.” So he only played 293 times in his first term. Waste, it only cost taxpayers 151.5 million dollars. He also pulls moves to make money by housing secret service agents at his properties and then charges the taxpayers.Every time he plays, already this term he has played 18 times in his first 69 days.Waste. It has ...

The hypocrite’s song

“The lady doth protest too much, methinks…” This is a famous line from Shakespeare’s Hamlet. It’s uttered in response to the insincere overacting of a character in a play within the play. In everyday use, the phrase indicates doubt of sincerity, especially regarding the truth of a strong denial. In short, it’s hypocritical overkill when “caught in the act”. This is the strategy of Democratic Party demagogues. “Of course, everyone should be angry with Elon Musk (says the protester…paid by funds from a USAID NGO)! Many will lose their jobs!” But to be a Democrat ...

The courage to speak out

The most remarkable thing about Senator Cory Booker’s record-breaking 25-hour speech in the U.S. Senate wasn’t his stamina — it was his courage. Booker said what most members of Congress, including our own representatives, are afraid to say: that our democracy and economy are in grave danger. While others tremble to offer even mild criticism of the Trump administration, Booker boldly told the truth: “In just 71 days, the president of the United States has inflicted so much harm on Americans’ safety, financial stability, the core foundations of our democracy.” For a full ...

Want to buy a car?

Okay, I can understand why President Musk wants a tariff on foreign vehicles since it makes his cars more affordable. Expect to see more car sales on the White House lawn. But what about average Americans? 25% on a $50,000 car will increase its price to the average person by $10,000! Nothing to rich Republicans but a lot to most people. Why can’t we get the KEI pickups for $10,000? Or the BDY electric cars for $10,000? We don’t protect other industries like the auto industry! What happened to capitalism determining what the market wants instead of our only President born and ...

Autocracy alert

The evidence is growing; Donald J. Trump’s presidency is already showing signs of an autocracy (dictatorship). An early sign was revealed during a campaign rally in 2024. As reported by CBS News, Trump told his audience, “Christians, Christians! Vote for me. If I am elected I will fix it so you’ll never have to vote again--never vote again.” The “fix” is proceeding; the signs are obvious. Several guardrails which might prevent an autocracy are gone. Trump enjoys Republican majorities in both houses of Congress and a majority of Supreme Court justices are Federalist Society ...
