An in-person town hall

As a member of Pennsylvania’s 9th district, of which Representative Daniel Meuser presides over, I was underwhelmed by his virtual town hall (held on Wednesday, April 9). This townhall was clearly perfunctory - something to check off Representative Meuser’s list in order to save face with the public. The “townhall” that was put on could have been a powerpoint presentation. He was not there to have a conversation with his constituents, he was there to downplay and defend his actions (or even worse, his inactions). The column by David Harsanyi, in the March 4 edition of the Sun-Gazette, is quite misleading. His claims seem to be coming from big pharma. (Tainted science) He acknowledges the categorizing of autism over the past 5 decades, from vaguely definable to absolutely defined along with mild to severe. This shows progression and increased intensity. (Good science) Having no objective test for autism, is evidence of unnatural causes being imposed upon the subject. I keep hearing that Trump is going to start a trade war with the tariffs he’s imposing on other countries. It’s said to be especially egregious that he is imposing them even on our friends and allies. Let’s take the two statements in order.
