Nice to see the pictures on the front page of the paper from the Special Olympics Bowling Tournament a few weeks ago. Did you know that before 1960, the local YMCA Lanes catered to blind bowlers by setting up railings on the approaches? This was so that blind bowlers could maintain their bearings as they moved toward the foul line in their delivers. The Y also had a program for disabled bowlers at that time.
Hope to see you on the lanes.
