Montgomery’s Harer wins title at Super 32 tournament

At the 2025 Super 32 wrestling tournament which features outstanding competition from throughout the United States, Montgomery’s Brandt Harer displayed why he’s going Division I and one of the best wrestlers in Pennsylvania as he made easy work each of his opponents.

Harer defeated five nationally-ranked wrestlers including the No. 2 wrestler in the country and outscored his opponents on the mat an impressive 62-2. His final four opponents were all nationally ranked.

Harer is the second wrestler in District 4 history to claim a Super 32 championship. The only other was Benton’s Zain Retherford (2012).

At 145 pounds, Harer earned a 4-0 decision to win the title against Crown Point, Indiana’s Clinton Shepherd, ranked No. 4 in the country. In the semifinals, Harer made easy work of West Covina, California’s Michael Romero with a 12-0 major decision to reach the final. In the quarterfinals, Harer picked up a 5-0 decision against Tyler Travers of Fredericksburg, Virgnia.

In the Round of 64, Harer, t Grand Rapids, Minnesota’s Christian Jelle. Harer defeated Hixson, Tennessee’s Braylan Cosper by decision, 5-1, in the Round of 32.

Montoursville’s Branden Eisenhour reached the Round of 16 in the championship bracket at 106. Eisenhour earned a Round of 128 win against Vince von Bernewitz of Virginia, 12-3, by major decision and followed it with a close 9-8 decision against Oklahoma’s Easton Pierce. In the Round of 32, Eisenhower dominated with a 17-2, 2:12 tech fall over North Carolina’s Liam Myles, securing 14 first-period points thanks to two take downs and two near falls.

Eisenhour suffered a loss in the Round of 16 when Georgia’s Ariah Mills picked up a 15-4 major decision win over the Warrior. He was eliminated in the consolation bracket with a close 1-0 decision to Tennessee’s Hudson Chittum.

Montoursville’s Gage Wentzel was an eighth-place finisher at 175 after a 4-1 decision loss at 175 to East Hanover, New Jersey’s Santino Rodriguez. He lost in the consolation of four round to New Glarus, Wisconsin’s Eli Leonard by major decision, 13-1.

In the consolation of 8 round, Wentzel defeated nationally-ranked Brock Oizerwotiz of Tom River, New Jersey, 10-5.
