Golf tip of the week: A little knee kick may improve your chips
PHOTO PROVIDED Time the knee to align with the ball at impact.
If you have problems chipping around the greens, try adding a little knee kick. The knee can do amazing things; it can create a soft chip or a brisk boring shot.
The right knee for the right-handed golfer and the left knee for the left-handed golfer. It’s just a matter of timing: the knee should meet the club at impact.
Adding the knee kick eliminates that dreadful thin shot that goes low, ending up in the over the green. It will take a few shots to get the hang of it. Don’t forget to utilize the shoulders to move the club, eliminating too much hand action and the knee for the desired ball speed.
Don’t forget to enjoy this great game called golf.
