Loyalsock tennis falls in team tournament, Lewisburg advances

David Bjorkman earned a three-set victory at No. 3 singles for Loyalsock against Danville, but that would unfortunately be the Lancers’ lone victory as the Ironmen earned a 4-1 win in the District 4 boys tennis team tournament quarterfinals to advance to the semifinals. Cade Lusk started Friday’s game at Midd-West the best way possible and pitcher Cole Gerber dominated from there as South Williamsport won, 8-1. Lusk smashed a lead-off home run and had a huge day, going 3 for 3 with three RBIs and two steals, while Gerber threw six innings of two-hit baseball.
