Two days after blanking Keystone, 3-0, in a defensive gem with not much offense, Williamsport Area exploded for 16 runs in a 16-1 rout over Montoursville to advance to the winners’ bracket semifinals. South Williamsport won the District 12 junior baseball losers’ bracket final with a convincing 9-4 win over Loyalsock, moving South into the District 12 championship game on Monday against East Lycoming. East Lycoming had beaten South Williamsport in a rain-shortened game on Thursday, 3-0. The minor all-star team from Jersey Shore/GSV secured a 5-3 win against South Williamsport to advance to the title game.
