MID VALLEY — Warrior Run’s superb season this year ended on Monday afternoon in a tough, close loss on the road against Mid Valley in the first round of the PIAA Class AAA playoffs, 2-0. Mid Valley scored a run in the fourth inning for a 1-0 lead before adding a run in the fifth to take a 2-0 lead. Warrior Run out-hit Mid Valley, 6-4, but the Defenders weren’t able to rally in the final two innings to score any runs. Halifax baseball beats South Williamsport in walk-off fashion

HALIFAX — South Williamsport saw its season come to a tough end in the first round of the PIAA Class AA playoffs as Halifax defeated the Mounties in walk-off fashion, 7-6, at Halifax. Halifax trailed by a run in the bottom of the seventh inning hen Josh Zahurak reached base on a double, which tied the game and brought in the go-ahead winning run.
