With a program-record 33-win season already in the books, Penn College’s all-sophomore and freshman softball team has already exceeded expectations. Lycoming’s Halbert named Landmark Pitcher of the Year

Led by Landmark Conference Pitcher of the Year, junior Alex Halbert, seven Lycoming College baseball players earned a school-record eight selections on the All-Landmark Conference team, the league office announced. Halbert is the first Warrior baseball player to be named a major award winner from the conference, as he also earned first-team all-conference honors alongside senior AJ Llorente (a Montoursville graduate) at first base. It was another challenging race weekend with rainouts at Clinton County and Selinsgrove. The Outlaw swing through our area continued at Williams Grove and the Friday night preliminary race it was a Posse win as Kasey Kahne claimed his first ever World of Outlaws victory by winning it in the Macri Motorsports 39m. The 30-lap Outlaw finale was claimed by their point leader David Gravel and now the Morgan Cup trophy will reside at the World of Outlaws headquarters in Concord, North Carolina for the next 364 days.
