Motorcyclist killed in Lycoming Township crash identified

Sunday's fatal crash scene on Lycoming Creek Road. The Nissan at center was extensively damaged in a violent collision with a three-wheel motorcycle at Kenyon Avenue. The motorcyclist killed in Sunday afternoon’s violent crash at Lycoming Creek Road and Kenyon Avenue in Lycoming Township has been identified as Benjamin Isbell, 75, of Cogan Station, according to Lycoming County Coroner Charles E. Kiessling Jr.

Isabell’s, wife, Billie Jo Isbell, 57, who was riding with him, is hospitalized with serious injuries, Lycoming Regional police said Monday morning.

The motorcycle and a Nissan Altima colliided. The driver of the Altima was Jesse Steinbacher, 39, also of Cogan Station, police said. He was treated at UPMC Williamsport and released.

The driver of the Tesla, who also was involved in the crash, was Darren McElroy, of Elizabethtown, police said.
