Volunteer firefighters, paramedics and state troopers were having a very busy Friday night handling a number of emergencies in Lycoming County.

Firefighters were battling a barn fire in the 1700 block of Cemetery Hill Road, just outside Montgomery, in Clinton Township.

Fire companies from the township, Montgomery, Elimsport, Warrior Run Area, Muncy Area, Picture Rocks, Nisbet, DuBoistown and Hughesville were dispatched about 7:30 p.m.

The blaze was declared under control about 45 minutes later.

Some fire trucks en route to the fire were re-directed to a crash scene at routes 15 and 54 in Clinton Township about 7:45 p.m.

On-scene reports indicated there were multiple injuries, and that most of them were transported to area hospitals by ambulances.
