Loyalsock Township High School to conduct mock crash Friday

Loyalsock Township High School will host a mock crash program on Friday, May 22, to educate students about the dangers and consequences of impaired and distracted driving.

The educational event will feature a simulated emergency response designed to demonstrate the real-life impact of unsafe driving decisions and reinforce the importance of making responsible choices behind the wheel.

Community emergency responders and public safety personnel will participate in the program, resulting in an increased presence of emergency vehicles and personnel at LTSD’s secondary campus beginning at about 8:30 a.m. Friday morning.

Temporary road closures will be in place from 8 a.m. until about 11 a.m. on the north side of the secondary campus near the middle school while the program is underway and cleanup occurs. Visitors to campus during that time should expect traffic modifications and will be rerouted to exit via the

area near the bus garage onto Four Mile Drive.

The district is sharing this information in advance so community members are aware that the activity is a planned educational program and not an actual emergency.

The mock crash program is part of the district’s ongoing efforts to promote student safety and awareness as students prepare for the graduation season.

Starting at $2.99/week.
