20 charged with various offenses
Twenty people have been charged with various criminal offenses. Those charged and the law enforcement agencies involved were:
• Darlene Battle, 62, of New Castle, Delaware; city police; felony interference of custody of a child, felony trespassing and harassment for allegedly removing her minor grandson forcibly from the boy’s mother’s home at 609 Tenth Ave. on Aug. 6 even though the mother, Brooke Strickland, had legal custody of the child; released on $25,000 bail.
• Ahmed Mehran Sumit, 27, of 790 Back Road, Allenwood; state police; sexual abuse of children and illegal use of computer for allegedly having 24 videos of child pornography on his laptop computer at his Washington Township home on Aug. 5; the videos showed children engaged in prohibited sexual acts; jailed in lieu of $250,000 bail; at his arraignment police told a district judge that Sumit was in the country illegally and that Immigration and Customs Enforcement was going to file a detainer on Sumit.
• Adam Roush, 18, of 51 Wynmere Drive; state police; accident involving damage to attended vehicle or property (hit-run) following a crash at Lycoming Creek and Strouse roads in Loyalsock Township on Aug. 5; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
• April Stuart, 26, of 316 Ridge Top Road, Cogan Station; Old Lycoming Township police; DUI and speeding in the 2300 block of Lycoming on Aug. 3; her blood-alcohol content level was .10; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
• Amanda Fenderson, 32, of 804 Diamond St.; two sets of new charges filed by state police; felony forgery and related offenses for allegedly cashing two stolen checks belonging to Charles Little at the Montoursville Area Federal Credit Unit on North Loyalsock Avenue on Aug. 1 and again on Aug. 5, the checks totaled $4,600; the second set of charges included theft, receiving stolen property and access device fraud for allegedly stealing Sean Fenderson’s credit card and using it make $4,600 in purchases at 13 different locations between July 10 and July 25; court records did not state how the Fendersons were related; jailed in lieu of $25,000 bail; Amanda Fenderson was charged earlier this month with allegedly burglarizing Cellini’s Sub Shop on Broad Street in Montoursville in late July.
• Robert Bartley 24, of 94 Hornberger Road, Cogan Station; Old Lycoming Township police; DUI in the 1900 block of Lycoming Creek Road on July 13; his blood-alcohol content level was .19; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
• Ashley Reed, 26, of 2002 Zuni Lane; Lycoming County Sheriff’s Department; hindering apprehension or prosecution and obstructing the administration of law for allegedly harboring and concealing fugitive Justin Fisher at her home in Old Lycoming Township on July 10; on the day before Reed gave Fisher a ride from Allenwood to Muncy and then to her home allegedly knowing he was being sought by probation officers for probation violations; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
• Christopher McClintock, 18, of 23 Pennywood Ave., Montgomery; state police; DUI and underage drinking on Route 405 in Clinton Township on July 5; his blood-alcohol content level was .03; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
• Alahad Vaughn, 23, of 1016 Elmira St.; state police; possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia at High and Herdic streets in the city on June 27; released on $1,500 bail.
• Tracy Gray, 44, of 124 Emery St.; state police; misdemeanor shoplifting after she was caught allegedly trying to steal $40 worth of merchandise from Kmart, 1915 E. Third St., on June 24; released on $5,000 bail.
• Jason Welshans, 34, 504 Jordan Ave., Montousville; state police; DUI on Route 87 in Plunketts Creek Township on June 10; he refused to provide a blood sample; released on $5,000 bail.
• George Hawk, 53, of 16 Buffalo St., Cogan Station; Old Lycoming Township police; DUI in the 2400 block of Route 15 on June 7; his blood-alcohol content level was .17; this is his third DUI arrest; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
• James Hale, 35, of 2207 Webb St.; state police; DUI and careless driving in the 100 block of Maynard Street in the city on May 25; his blood-alcohol content level was .11; this was his second DUI arrest; released on $3,500 bail.
• Jeffri Zahnd, 59, of Lock Haven; state police; DUI and careless driving in the area of West Fourth and Diamond streets in the city on May 18; his blood-alcohol content level was .08; released on $3,500 bail.
• Robert Schoenberger 63, of Elizabethtown; state police; possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding on Route 15 in Old Lycoming Township on May 17; sent a summons to appear before a district judge.
• Donteze Morris, 19, of 602 Locust St.; city police; theft, receiving stolen property, tampering with evidence, corrupting the morals of minors and criminal mischief for allegedly breaking a lock to steal John Flock’s bicycle from the 800 block of West Fourth Street on May 17; three minors took part in the theft of two bikes; initially jailed, but now free on $15,000 bail.
• Tyler Lance, 31, of 1040 W. Southern Ave., South Williamsport; city police; possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct in the 600 block of Cemetery Street on May 7; released on $1,500 bail.
• Jocelynn Gardner-Fox, 31, of 1418 St. James Place; city police; possession of 10 bags of heroin and two bags of crack cocaine and related offenses in the 1400 block of Memorial Avenue on April 10; jailed in lieu of $2,500 bail.
• Gage Laubscher, 28, of 121 Harvest Moon Park, Linden; city police; resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia following an incident in the 400 block of Locust Street last Nov. 23; released on $2,500 bail.
• Wesley Minier, 35, of 765 Mount Zion Hill Road, Hughesville; state police; possession with intent to deliver nine hydrocodone pills and related offenses at his home in Penn Township on Aug. 27, 2018; released on $30,000 bail.
