Charges continue to mount against Lycoming County Prison inmate Edward James Nicholas, 47, who was jailed last month on robbery and kidnapping offenses filed by city police. The latest charges were filed by the county’s Narcotics Enforcement Unit and stemmed from his alleged involvement in a drug sale in the 600 block of Rose Street on April 3 followed by the seizure of 32 grams of methamphetamine from his former apartment on Rose Street two days later, according to an affidavit. Arraigned before District Judge Denise Dieter on charges of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and related offenses, Nicholas, who has no permanent address, remains locked up in lieu of an additional $85,000 bail.
