Michael Martin Allen, a 34-year-old intoxicated homeless man, has been arrested on charges of having inappropriate contact with a nurse while she was trying to treat him and get his vitals in the emergency room at the Geisinger Medical Center on Route 220 in Muncy Township on Dec. 18, according to township police. Brought to the hospital to be treated for his alcoholism, Allen grabbed the nurse’s buttocks and tried “to run his hand between the back of her thighs,” it was alleged in an affidavit. He refused to leave the premises and struggled with officers when they took him into custody, police alleged. Charged with indecent assault and resisting arrest, Allen waived his preliminary hearing last week before District Judge Kirsten Gardner and remains incarcerated in lieu of $10,000 bail. Hours before the assault, Allen caused problems with medical staff at UPMC Williamsport, police said.
