Three women charged with shoplifting in separate cases
Ava Elsie Burkins, 20, of 4976 Bloomingrove Road, has been charged with misdemeanor shoplifting after she was caught stealing $420 worth of merchandise from Wegmans, 201 William St., on Sept. 9, city police alleged. She has since waived her preliminary hearing before District Judge Aaron Biichle and is free on $5,000 bail.
In another case, Addison Sylvia Crawley, 31, of 190 Baer St., Jersey Shore, has been charged with the same offense after she allegedly fled Sheetz at 7775 Route 220 in Woodward Township with $40 worth of merchandise on Nov. 10, according to state police records at Dieter’s office. This was his second shoplifting offense, police said. She has waived his preliminary hearing and is free on $15,000 bail.
In another case, Robin G. Zimmerman, 60, of 5811 Route 220, apartment 1, Hughesville, has been charged by Montoursville police with two misdemeanor counts of shoplifting after stealing $54 worth of merchandise from Walmart on North Loyalsock Avenue on Sept. 9 and $125 worth of merchandise from the same store on Oct. 9, it was alleged in a court document. She was arraigned last week before District Judge Gary Whiteman and released on $5,000 bail.
