Homeless man charged with assault, felony trespassing
In another domestic, Tafari Major, 25, who is homeless, has been locked up on charges after he forced his way into a woman’s apartment in the 500 block of Memorial Avenue and then “grabbed her and struck her in the face and head several times” about 11:45 a.m. on Jan. 29, city police alleged. Major also “grabbed her by the throat, scratching the left side of her neck,” it was,alleged in an affidavit.
When officers started arriving on the scene, Major took off running, but was soon nabbed, police said. Arraigned before District Judge Aaron Biichle on charges of felony trespassing, simple assault, evading arrest and harassment, Major remains jailed in lieu of $5,000 bail.
