CU-Lock Haven to host 20th Kent’s Fest Celebration

LOCK HAVEN — Commonwealth University-Lock Haven’s Department of Exceptionality Programs and Council for Exceptional Children student group will host the 20th annual Kent’s Fest celebration on Friday, April 19, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the East Campus Gymnasium. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Battle of the Bands.” Classrooms and organizations will create unique performances to personally selected music aligned with the theme. Secretary of Education’s visit to IU 17 highlights certification pathway

During his recent tour of schools in the area, Dr. Khalid Mumin, secretary of education, visited the BLaST IU 17 headquarters on Reach Road to learn more about the “earn while you learn” teacher certification pathways for working paraeducators. Culinary arts students to present menus from across the U.S.

In the coming weeks, Pennsylvania College of Technology culinary arts students will practice kitchen management skills as they serve a series of dinners featuring American regional cuisine in Le Jeune Chef Restaurant. Served Wednesdays, March 20 to April 24, each week’s menu features signature cuisine from a different corner of the U.S. – from New Orleans’ Cajun and Creole flavors to New England’s famous seafood.
