Small flow treatment facility agreement gets council approval

A Williamsport homeowners’ residence received an installation and maintenance agreement with the city for a small flow treatment facility on their property. In a resolution, the City Council approved the facility agreement at 372 Daughertys Run Road. The property owner is unable to tie into the sanitary on their lot. A requirement will be for them to pay an escrow amount to the city for annual inspections and maintenance, as recommended by the city sewage enforcement officer. The City of Williamsport is being assisted with an expense that just a few years ago was placed at over $20,000 to provide police security and public safety protection for Major League Baseball’s Little League Classic in August.
