Jersey Shore schools hire new assistant superintendent

JERSEY SHORE — Dr. Laura Osenbach will take on the role of assistant superintendent of the Jersey Shore Area School District at a salary of $120,000 after the board voted in favor on Monday.

Starting July 1, Osenbach replaces Dr. Ken Dady, who resigned to serve as superintendent at Mifflinburg Area School District.

Osenbach has central office experience at the Northeast Bradford School District, while contracted through BLaST IU 17 as curriculum coordinator and 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant program director for the district. Osenbach also has prior experience as a classroom teacher.

Jersey Shore’s mission is to “provide a supportive environment where all members learn, grow and succeed to positively impact the world around them,” stated Dr. Brian Ulmer, superintendent.

A Williamsport native, Osenbach earned a doctorate in educational leadership and administration and a superintendent’s letter of eligibility from Immaculata University; a master’s degree in education from Lock Haven University; and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from York College of Pennsylvania.

Osenbach also is a National Board Certified teacher. Her contract with the district runs through June 30, 2026.

Starting at $2.99/week.
