As forecasted, the weekend winter storm swept into the region early Sunday morning blanketing the area with heavy snow. An estimated to 10-15 inches of the white stuff was expected to fall by late Sunday night.
Whether it was with shovels, brooms, snowblowers or plows, people were out trying to keep on top of the storm, clearing sidewalks, driveways and roads.
