Proposed construction of a campground on a little over 53 acres in Cummings Township was approved with conditions by the Lycoming County Planning Commission at this month’s meeting. The East Lycoming School Board recently approved a $32 million proposed budget for 2026-27 that does not include a property tax increase. The proposed budget is in the amount of $32,087,205 and the district is planning to levy taxes at 16.65 mills, the same as the prior year, according to business manager Heather Burke. Williamsport City Council recently passed a resolution authorizing and approving the sale of Lot H by the Williamsport Parking Authority. “This is a parcel that the city had deeded to the authority in 2017,” said city Solicitor Austin White. As a deed restriction, it required that if the authority wanted to sell the parcel, it needed to get the city’s consent. The lot is accessed by Mulberry Street and is close to Via Bella.
