We’re proud of our team every day
Of course we are proud to see six members of our staff win 14 Keystone Media Awards.
But our newsroom is proud of our staff every day.
Just as judges for the Pennsylvania News Media Association do when deciding each year’s awards, we compare our newspaper to its contemporaries every day. And while we take no delight in the predicament of many newspapers in our state and neighboring states, we still plainly see that our commitment to bringing you the local news that matters.
With 60 municipalities and school districts in Lycoming County and law enforcement and courts in numbers necessary to serve a county of more than 110,000, we publish dozens of local articles a week — two or three times what the average newspaper even in counties larger than Lycoming County does.
We are proud that our staff is diligent in reporting on that news so we can have more fully informed communities. And as the Keystone Media Awards remind us, to report on that volume of news with the talent that our articles, photographs, headlines, columns and video reporting are also of a higher quality.
And we have every expectation that we will continue to serve our audience with thorough, high-quality reporting of the news that touches all of our lives in 2024 and beyond.
