I have many good memories of the days I spent in the tree-shaded site during the 1940s which were my early school years. I clearly remember Mr. Timothy J. Ferguson, a school principal who was the supervisor during the summer days some of the years. Upgrades of the equipment were made in 2002 after a fundraising. Currently the equipment was still functioning and was visited by children.

Driving by on July 24, I was saddened to see the playground equipment was removed and placed in dumpsters and the ground was leveled. This early removal happened despite the fact that the proposed new replacement playground is just in its early stages of installation.

In hindsight, I believe both playgrounds could have existed at the same time since there was a significant distance between them.
