Remembering schools

We read with interest the Wednesday September 16th front page local news article with accompanying photos. The Grandview School in Loyalsock Township certainly encompassed life learning opportunities and skills. Our mother attended an earlier established one-room school through the 8th grade. The Hill School exists today as a a home dwelling in Union County between Kelly Point and Mazeppa. Our mother lived on a nearby family farm and could sometimes ice skate to school.
