An undemocratic party

During the 2024 election, Democratic pundits and shills insisted “There are too many elections in America” and “Elections are bad for democracy.” And now once again Biden has implemented this anti-citizen sensibility of the radical left. The only time American citizens directly control the levers of the federal government is when they’re on federal juries -- America is a representative republic, not a demagogic democracy. But now, of the 40 vicious felons put on death row by citizen juries, Biden has nullified 37 of those lawful decisions of the American people empaneled. ...

Class clown

Trump, like all class clowns, craves attention. Giving such individuals attention in a way that rewards their actions, only makes them more likely to continue acting out. As an elementary school teacher, I knew to take these kids seriously, but not in a way that encouraged their actions. Trump will be the leader of the most powerful nation on earth so he has to be taken very seriously. Countries he threatens (Canada, Mexico, Panama, Denmark, etc) should prepare themselves accordingly. But, making a big public fuss about his childish threats will only encourage him. The new abnormal

The fires in LA, the flooding of North Carolina, killer temperatures across the southwestern states; everyone is talking about these things as “The New Normal.” I hate to say this but it’s far worse than that. I’ve been pondering board representative Cherie Peters’ comment at the last meeting of the Jersey Shore Area School Board. Ms. Peters rather forcefully remarked that she will NOT revisit the Salladasburg school closure vote. Doesn’t she understand it is her sworn duty to consider every agenda item brought before the board whether she likes it or not?
