LOCK HAVEN — Williamsport’s Alex Takach was a two-event winner at the Lock Haven Bald Eagle Invitational on Friday evening as he won the 100 in 11.02 seconds, edging out DuBois’ Nathan Kougher who ran a PR of 11.06 and claimed a victory with a PR in the 200 with a time of 22.23, winning the race by just 0.03 seconds.
Takach’s two wins were among many Williamsport claimed as the Millionaires secured the team title at the event with 130 points. Hughesville (83) was third.
Takach wasn’t the only area boys athlete to win two individual events. South Williamsport senior Dylan Scheller set a PR in the long jump by leaping 23-0 1/2 to win the event by roughly three inches. Aiden Everet of Williamsport took third with a season-best distance of 21-8. Scheller also won the triple jump by leaping 44-4 3/4, beating out Everett by just 1 1/2 inches in a tight competition.
Central Mountain senior Sam Wible ran a tiem of 50.96 to win the 400 while Warrior Run’s Eli Butler set a PR with a time fo 51.48 for second place. North Penn-Mansfield’s Sudan Benner was third (52.16).
The 800 saw all top four finishers set either PRs or season bests as Peter Fisher, a sophomore from Williamsport, set a PR to win with a time of 2:03.65, edging Troy’s Evan Geer (2:06.21). Wyatt Gavitt was fourth with a season-best mark of 2:07.34 behind Tyrone’s Aiden Detwiler (2:06.46).

Hughesville went 1-2 in the 1,600 as senior Shea McCusker won with a time of 4:25.24 and junior Tyce Shaner ran a time of 4:27.55 to take second, setting a PR. Michael Knefley of North Penn-Mansfield was third (4:40.16).
Aiden Hoffman of Warrior run ran a time of 10:03.71 to win the 3,200, setting a PR as he beat Hughesville sophomore Wyatt Laubacher by eight seconds. Baird took third.
Cooper Bottorf of Central Mountain won the discus with a throw of 144 feet, setting a PR, as he beat Noah Crawford of DuBois by just five inches. The Wildcats also saw senior Jonathan Hughes win the javelin with a throw of 168-1, winning by eight feet over Chace Aikey of Mifflinburg. South Williamsport’s Jack Fortin finished third (156-1).
Hughesville’s Keagan Smith cleared 12-6 to win the pole vault competition while Gideon Kennel of Warrior run took second with a PR of 11-6. Levi Gair of Williamsport finished third (11-6). Williamsport’s Cordoza Minor took second in the shot put with a throw of 47-10 while South Williamsport’s Paxton Gephart finished fifth with a throw of 42-11.
Williamsport saw sophomore Noah Baird run a time of 6:53.80 to win the 2,000 steepelchase while Central Mountain’s Damien Winner finished second in 7:00.70 and Williamsport’s Lauger Waldman was third in 7:07.40.

Williamsport’s Kye Diakite took second in the 110 hurdles with a PR of 15.52 while Hughesville’s Kaviko Fualkner set a PR by running a 16.48 for third place. Warrior Run’s Gavin Hunter was a second-place finisher in the 300 hurdles race in 41.28, setting a PR in the process. Brady Morgan of Hughesville ran a season-best time of 42.33 in the event for third.
