Lewisburg’s girls and boys track and field teams swept Central Columbia in a dual meet on Tuesday. The girls won, 106-44, to improve to 3-0 while the boys won, 82-68, and moved to 2-1.

Lewisburg senior Baylee Espinosa picked up where she left off last year after the state meet and ran two solid races in the 800 and 1,600. In the 800, the Green Dragon ran a time of 2:19.38 to win by roughly 21 seconds. In the mile, Espinosa ran a time of 5:37.44, winning by two seconds over teammate Theo Wilkinson.

Wilkinson won the 3,200 in 12:54.63. 

Espinosa was also the second leg in the 1,600 relay alongside Annika Ikeda Shields, Katherine Batkowski and Madison Moyers which won in 4:10.37.

Emma Bolton won the 100 hurdles in 17.89 and in the 300 hurdles, Lewisburg’s Katherine Batkowski ran a time of 47.69 to win by almost five seconds over Central Columbia’s Grace Dussinger.

Lewisburg’s Lydia Delsite was a three-event winner, picking up key points. She cleared 5 feet for a win in the high jump and won the long jump with a leap of 16-11. In the triple jump, Delsite won with a distance of 35-9 3/4.

Annika Ikeda Shields won the pole vault with a height of 9-0.

Lewisburg’s Ziva Williams won the discus with a throw of 97-1 and teammate Teagan Osunde won the javelin with a throw of 113-0, winning by more than three feet over teammate Ella Vance.

On the boys side, Lewisburg’s Rebira Jemama was a three-event winner, claiming victories in both the high, long and triple jumps. In the high jump, Jemama cleared 5-11. Jemama won the long jump with a distance of 20-2 and in the triple jump, won with a leap of 40-1 1/4.

Jacob Weis ran an 11.65 to win the 100 and Jacob Weis won the 200 in 23.63 for Lewisburg. The Green Dragons’ Justin Nolt ran a 2:02.26 for a win in the 800 and in the 1,600, Grayson Barner won in 4:39.60. Lewisburg’s Thomas Graham won the 3,200 in 11:08.01.

Lewisburg’s Isiah Bloomfield, Drake Osunde, Sean Perez and Evan Berger won the 400 relay in 45.09 seconds and the team of Grayson Barner, Jack Johnson, Hugh Ikeda Shields and Justin Nolt ran a time of 9:25.38 to win the 3,200 relay.
