A former Lycoming College cheerleader herself, Makaela Bickhart is set to serve as the team’s advisor in 2026-27. As cheerleading advisor, Bickhart oversees the team’s practices, meetings and appearances at sporting and community events. Loyalsock edged Williamsport in a District 12 major softball tournament opener, 6-2, to advance to the quarterfinals. Loyalsock faces Montoursville in that winners’ bracket quarterfinal game on Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. while Williamsport drops into the elimination bracket and faces Jersey Shore/GSV, a 9-3 loser to Keystone.
