Pauline (Lovell) and Stephen Durkee of Williamsport celebrated their 55th anniversary on Friday, Jan. 30. They were married by Rev. Bowers in 1971 at Fairlawn Church in Cogan Station.

Pauline, of Williamsport, is the daughter of Paul and Grace (Paulhamus) Lovell. She graduated from Williamsport High School and retired as a secretary from Northway Presbyterian Church.

Stephen, of South Williamsport, is the son of William and Charlotte (Nixon) Durkee. He graduated from South Williamsport High School and is a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He retired after 41 years in the trucking industry and worked in the circulation department of the Sun-Gazette. He currently works part-time at Weis Market’s pharmacy.

They have two sons, Kevin and Brian, both of Williamsport.
